Mi Notebook Pro 15 (2020) Launched With 10th-Gen Intel Core CPUs, Improved Cooling
Xiaomi has unveiled theMi Notebook Pro 15 (2020)in China a day after itlaunched its first laptops in India. The lineup consists of two models, and as their name suggests, both come with15.6-inch screens. Both variants are powered by10th-gen Intel Core i5 and Core i7 ‘Comet Lake‘ processorsbased on the 14nm architecture. They also have theGeForce MX350 GPU, up to 16GB RAM, up to 1TB SSD,and an upgraded cooling system.
Mi Notebook Pro 15 Specs and Features
As mentioned already the Mi Notebook Pro 15 lineup consists of two models. While the base model is powered by the 1.6GHz IntelCore i5-10210UCPU, the higher-end variant ships with the 1.8GHz IntelCore i7-10510Uchip. Another difference is the amount of RAM and storage on offer. The former comes with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD, while the latter has 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage on-board. In both cases, the RAM is of the DDR4 2666MHz variety, while the storage is PCIe NVMe SSD.
The 15.6-inch displays haveFHD (1920 x 1080) screenscovering 100% of the sRGB color gamut. They have a 178-degree viewing angle and are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The bezels are limited to just 6.52mm, giving the laptops an 81% screen-to-body ratio. Both models have a fingerprint scanner, as well as a full-size backlit keyboard with support for the Fn+K shortcut – switching performance profiles.
Connectivity options include 2x USB Type-C ports, 2x USB 3.1 ports, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm socket. There’s also a full-size SD card slot, as well as a precision touchpad and an HD webcam. Wireless connectivity includes dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. It has stereo 2.5W speakers with Harman Audio and support for Dolby Audio Premium. The Mi Notebook Pro 15 sports a 60Wh battery and runsWindows 10Home Edition.
Price and Availability
The Mi Notebook Pro 15 (2020) ispriced at 5,999 yuan(~$850 / Rs. 64,000) for the base model, while the more premium version comes with a 6,999 yuan (~$990 / Rs. 74,000) price-tag. The device is already on sale in China, but there’s no word on its global launch.
